ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay "Wade"  and I traveled to Wade's sister Alley's house to attend the Cleveland, OH shows.  Wade won Winners Dog on Saturday and Best of Winners on Sunday for his first major towards his AKC championship.  Although I am most thrilled with this nice win, I am more impressed with my boy after fidgeting at the beginning of the breed class settled in.  I set him up, lifted his tail, and told him to stand.  He didn't move, kept his tail up, and I didn't have a hand on him.  At 13 months, I couldn't have been prouder of him.  The judge came back to him a couple of times and I was afraid to move thinking Wade would move so I just let the judge touch him without having control of my dog.  This boy rocked he didn't break his stack or lower his tail.  I even looked up for my show crew buddies to share in the grand moment to find they were not there.  At this show, some very special people reached out to show true sportsmanship.  I will forever be grateful.  Thanks Pam Bober and Bob Candage.  I am not much of a handler.  I think I am better trainer.  I just want to be a part of the whole experience of being a PWD owner, breeder, and that includes being the handler at times. 

On Saturday night, I spent the evening with Alley's family.  I went and watched Nicholas and Stephanie play in their soccer tournaments.  Alley lives with a very active family.  Then we all went to eat and I got to meet their friends.  I had a very fun time while in Cleveland.  I hope to visit again. 

OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride “Malibu” won BEST OF BREED at the UKC shows in Kalamazoo, MI on Saturday's 2nd show.  Sailor won BOB for the other 3 shows.  Way to go.

Well this was one fun weekend for sure.  ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay "Wade"  and I traveled to Pam Millers house of Millcrest to attend the Kankakee, IL shows.  I am proud to report that Wade won Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex on Saturday and Sunday Winners Dog and BEST OF BREED HONORS.

OreoBay Just a ClasSea Kid "Gable" took a 3 point major going Best Of Winners and Best of Breed  for his 2nd major towards his AKC championship at the Tucson KC show today.  Congratulations.  We are very proud.

Happy Birthday to all 10 puppies out of Deewal Oreo Speedwagon Aries" Oreo" & OreoBay Livin' On Easy Street "Laney".  Cleo, Blue, Alley, Cali, Brandi, Gable, Malibu, Hailey, Wade, and Rosie.  Love and Kisses from Momma Laney and me.

ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay "Wade" did very well at the shows this weekend in Ft. Wayne, IN at the Old Fort Cluster.  This show was 5 days.  I decided to enter 3 days, I am glad I did.  Wade won first in his class from the 9-12 month class with me as his handler all three days.  The big news is under Judge Judith Goodin on Friday, Wade won Winners Dog honors for his first 2 points towards his AKC championship out of the puppy class.  Sister, OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride “Malibu” took Reserve Winners Bitch on Saturday to the open winner.  Uncle Bentley also won Best Of Winners for another 2 points on Wednesday.  All in all the ClasSea/OreoBay puppies did pretty well. 

I had a great time and it was felt good to be back in the ring.  Congratulations to Kathy Maguire on finishing her girl out of the Bred By Exhibitor class this weekend.

9-18-09- 2009 PWDCA National Specialty Update!

Unfortunately due to my work schedule, I was only allowed one day off to go to Rend Lake, Illinois for the 2009 National Specialty.  I would have loved to have been there all week to watch all the Deewal Oreo Speedwagon Aries" Oreo" & OreoBay Livin' On Easy Street "Laney" puppies.  ClasSea puppies competed and were awarded some very nice wins and trophies.  Congratulations to all the owners, special thanks to the handlers, and judges who found our puppies in the line up of beautiful PWDs being represented at the specialty.

Tuesday Regular Classes Boys-Judge Linda Fowler-ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay “Wade” won 1st place in the 9-12 month boys and an invitation to compete in Best Puppy In Show Thursday.  Handled by Alyssa Janiszak.

Tuesday Rally Obedience-Judge Shirley Spall-OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride “Malibu” earns her first leg with owner/handler Dustin Coleman with a very nice score of 92.  Truly awesome from a 10 month old puppy.  They have accomplished lots in the short time they have been together.  I am very proud of this team.  I would like to thank Candace Riggs (my sister-n-law)  for earning OreoBay Livin' On Easy Street "Laney" second Rally Novice leg.  I heard she worked very hard for to achieve this Q and score of 70.

Thursday Best of Breed-Judge Linda Fowler-OreoBay Livin' On Easy Street "Laney" did not make the finals.  I heard she had a lot of fun in the ring with handler/breeder Nigel Clark.

Thursday Best Puppy in Show-Judge Linda Fowler-Malibu and Wade are our two puppies competing for this honor in the ring.  I am happy to report that ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay “Wade” was awarded Best Puppy in Show honors.  Handled by Alyssa Janiszak.

I am very proud of my first litter indeed.  It is a National Specialty I will never forget.  I only wished I could have been there to celebrate each day with the winners.  ClasSea puppies and Laney came home with 11 ribbons in all.  Pictures will be posted just as soon as I get them.  We share all of these wins with Co-breeder Nigel Clark of Oreobay.  I personally want to thank for blessing me with such a beautiful foundation girl.

Just 9 months old, team OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride “Malibu” and owner Dustin Coleman earned her JWD certificate.  (Juinor Water Dog) I am so very proud of them. 

ClasSea Spirit of a Storm "Hailey" entered the Marshall, MI show.  Winning Best of Opposite sex to CH Timber Oaks Music Man "Chopan".  Congratulations to Linda Scheele on winning breed all weekend with this pretty boy.

I just received word that OreoBay Just a ClasSea Kid "Gable" took a 3 point major for his first show out in Buckhorn.  He also won best puppy in breed.  Congratulations Diane.  Gable was handled by Judy Newton.  You have a gorgeous boy Diane.

ClasSea Spirit of a Storm "Hailey" and ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay “Wade” finished puppy agility tonight at Joshica's Planet Canine.

What a wonderful weekend at the UKC Premier show in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  OreoBay Livin’ On Easy Street “Laney” earned an AOM.  ClasSea Spirit of a Storm "Hailey" wins her class.  ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay “Wade” finished his Championship in style going Best of Winners at the Parade of Portugal under judge Sr Pedro Sanches Delerue.  On Sunday, OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride “Malibu” won the CH class earning a leg towards her GRCH and Laney's brother “Sailor” won Breed and a Group 2 among 23 Gun Dog breeds!   The Portuguese Water Dog was well represented for both the Premier and The Parade of Portugal.  In agility,  Max and Laney's Mom Dixie both had qualifying runs.  Congratulations to all participants in the Premier and the Parade of Portugal.

This weekend at the K9 Fanciers Dog show in Centreville, Michigan OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride "Malibu" has finished her UKC Championship on Mothers Day.  Malibu showed on Friday going Best of Breed over two Grand Champions then on to win a Group 2.  Way to go Malibu.

ClasSea Spirit Of A Storm "Hailey" and ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay "Wade" did very well at the shows this weekend themselves.  Hailey attended Saturday and Sunday earning a leg towards her Championship and 3 Reserve Female honors.  Wade attended on Sunday only going Best of Winners over Hailey and Malibu for both shows giving him two legs toward his championship.  What a great show weekend for all three puppies.  I am very proud of them all.

Laney's brother Sailor who is just turned 2 on Saturday took a Reserve Best In Show and on Sunday All Breed Best In Show.  I can't say enough nice things about him.  I was there when he was born and have watched him mature into a lovely male.  Watch this boy as he has a big future in front of him.

Laney's half brother Bentley and half sister Izzy both finished their championships this weekend.

OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride "Malibu" has finished Puppy K.  She doesn't go back for obedience until May.  Dustin reports that she is an easy going dog.  Dustin also owns Laney's brother from the second repeat breeding of  CH Ebb Tide's Great Awakenings x CH OreoBay Ready To Run.  Malibu is Co-owned by Nigel Clark.

Today we spent the day at Planet Canine for our Annual Health Day.  The CERF portion is sponsored by the PWDCGC.  The turn out was even bigger than last year.  There was lots to do.  Microchipping, CERF, Cardiac, Group or Private Swims, Training Sessions, We participated in CERF's for Laney, Hailey, Malibu, and Wade.  Laney also participated in an OFFA Heart Exam.  I am happy to report everyone received clean bills of health.

I just got word that ClasSea Down The Road "Alley" has completed Puppy K and is getting ready to start Puppy 2.  She really enjoyed showing all that she learned at the last class.  Go Alley go.

I attended the IKC show in Chicago, IL with Nigel and her dogs.  All the dogs did wonderful.  We all had a great time.  It is a great show to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.  I really enjoyed attending the dinner hosted by PWDCGC with guest speaker Brytt Hasslinger on structure.  Her seminar was very informative and is a must for all breeders or anyone wanting a real understanding of structure of our beloved canines.

ClasSea Spirit Of A Storm "Hailey" and her brother ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay "Wade" earned their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy tonight at Joshica's Planet Canine. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. You can read more about this on the AKC site. http://www.akc.org/starpuppy/. I am very proud of Hailey and Wade.  They also graduated Puppy K.  Now plans are in the works for Puppy Agility and more swims in the pool at the planet.  Gearing up for their water debuts this year.

OreoBay Livin' On Easy Street "Laney" earned her CGC today at Joshica's Planet Canine. CGC is short for Canine Good Citizen. You can read more about this on the AKC site. http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/. I am very proud of Laney. She was the first to pass at Planet Canine since now offering the test. Way to go girl. I knew you could do it.

Today we also said good-bye to ClasSea Dreams "Brandi". ClasSea now has a Jersey Girl. Laney was not quite herself when she left is why I decided it was time to get out of the house. We celebrated on the way home with ice cream.

Today we went to Joshica's Planet Canine for our first Puppy K class. The puppies all did wonderful. ClasSea Soul Of Sailor OreoBay "Wade" attended with us. How fun to be able to visit his siblings. They all slept in the next morning. :)

Today was a big day for the puppies still here. We went to the vet for the second round of shots. Then we played outside on and off all day.

One more of the girls left today. ClasSea Life Is Good "Cali" is now on her way to her new home. Her Mom drove a long way to take her home. I think it was love at first site.

Well 2 more dogs are gone. OreoBay Just A ClasSea Kid "Gable" and OreoBay ClasSea Wild Ride "Malibu". These two are show dogs and I look forward to watching them grow up. Wishing each of them fun in the ring and I will see you soon.
