Puppy Info

Thank you for your interest in ClasSea Portuguese Water
Dogs. All puppies are raised in our home and given
lots of love and socialization before going to their new
forever homes.

Here at ClasSea, parent dogs must have
passed all genetic testing for
GM-1 Storage, Optigen, CERF, an OFA. JDCM and
IC Normal on at least one of the parents. Parents
must also be structurally correct for the jobs they were
originally bred to perform.
Temperament is at the top
of our list when breeding decisions are made. Secondly,
we look for parents that have strong working desire
and are structurally correct to perform the duties .
Our goal is to have each new generation represent an improvement
on the last.
A must for all ClasSea puppies is to
start and attend a positive reinforcement puppy kindergarten
class before 18 weeks of age. I also highly recommend
at least one round of positive reinforcement obedience class
between the age of 9 to 12 months.
I recommend you visit the
PWDCA
and educate yourself on the breed as much as possible.
There are many great articles worth reading.
If you feel that the timing is right
for you to consider a ClasSea Portuguese Water Dog puppy,
you may complete a puppy questionnaire by clicking on the
button below. This questionnaire will give us a starting
point for further communication. If you have a Mac
computer, please contact via my phone number provided at
the bottom of the main page. I haven't figured out
how to make the form work for all browsers yet.
Thank you again for your interest in
a ClasSea Portuguese Water Dog puppy.

Note: I reserve the right to make decisions where
puppies are placed, and reserve the right to refuse placements
to any one at any time at my discretion.
We provide permanent microchip identification for all of
our adults and puppies at no cost to you. Your new
puppy comes to you already fitted with a tiny harmless microchip
that will stay safely in place for life, offering protection
from loss, theft or separation due to natural or personal
disaster. The microchip number is unique and belongs
only to your puppy. You and your puppy will
be enrolled in a 24 hour pet recovery network in the United
States for no additional charge. We handle the entire process!
We can even include your veterinarian’s information and
an alternate contact of choice.
Shelters, vets, and rescue teams scan for
microchips. If ever lost, your puppy can find his way home
to you when his number is scanned. Operators are standing
by 24 hours a day to help reunite you and your pet.
We are proud to offer you this service as part our Standard
of Care because we love all our puppies.
I have found a lost
pet. I have the microchip number. How do I locate the owner?
FIRST, go to
www.PetMicrochipLookup.org
and enter the chip number. If the owner has registered,
you will be directed to the registry. If not, you will be
given the toll free number of the chip maker. NOTE:
The alphabet letter O is not used in microchip numbers.
It is always the number, 0.
